Cambodia Casinos

There is an interesting background to the Cambodia gambling halls that lie just over the dividing line from nearby Thailand, in which gambling den gaming is not allowed. Eight casinos are situated in a generally tiny location in the city of Poipet in Cambodia. This collection of Cambodia gambling halls is in a prime area, a three to 4 hour drive from Bangkok and Macao, the two most popular betting centers in Asia. Cambodia gambling halls do a huge business with Thai blue-collar workers and travelers from Malaysia, Japan, South Korea, and Singapore, with just a few Westerners. The astonishing income accrued from the gambling halls ranges from $7.5 million to over twelve and a half million dollars, and there are a few restrictions constraints for gambling den ownership. Ownership is required to be largely Thai; however, financing sources are ambiguous. The borders are formally open from 9:00 a.m. to 1700, and even though visas are supposedly needed to cross, there are means around this, as is real of most border crossings.
The first Cambodia gambling halls premiered in Phnom Penh in 1994, but were forced to close in the late nineties, leaving only 1 gambling den in the capital, the Naga Resort. The Naga, an anchored ship gambling den, highlights one hundred and fifty one armed bandits and sixty tables. The Naga river boat is open all day and night with 42 tables of mini-baccarat chemin de fer, four tables of blackjack, ten of roulette, two of Caribbean Stud Poker, and 1 each of Pai-Gow and Tai-Sai.
The original casino in Poipet, the Holiday Palace, premiered in the late nineties and the Golden Crown soon opened. A total of 150 slots and five table games at the Golden Crown and 104 slot machine games and 68 gaming tables at the Holiday Palace. The newest Holiday Palace Casino and Resort features three hundred slot machines and seventy table games and the Princess Hotel and Casino, also in Poipet, has 166 slot machine games and 96 gaming tables, including 87 baccarat (the most beloved game), Fan Tan, and Pai Gow. Also, there is the Casino Tropicana, with one hundred and thirty five slot machine games and sixty six of the familiar table games, as well as a single table of Casino Stud Poker. Another one of the 8 casinos in Poipet, again a part of a hotel, is the Princess Casino with one hundred and sixty six one armed bandits and 97 casino games. The Star Vegas Casino is is located in a comprehensive vacation and hotel building that highlights many conveniences in addition to the gambling den, which offers 10,000 square feet of one hundred and thirty one armed bandits and eighty eight table games.
