Cambodia Casinos

There is an interesting history to the Cambodia casinos that reside just across the border from next door Thailand, in which gambling hall betting is not legal. Eight gambling halls are situated in a relatively small area in the municipality of Poipet in Cambodia. This collection of Cambodia gambling halls is in a prime spot, a three to 4 hour trip from Bangkok and Macao, the two most popular wagering centers in Asia. Cambodia gambling dens do a thriving business with Thai blue-collar workers and travelers from Malaysia, Japan, South Korea, and Singapore, with just a couple of Westerners. The astonishing capital acquired from the gambling halls ranges from $7.5 million to more than 12.5 million, and there are a number of limitations constraints for gambling den ownership. Ownership is assumed to be mostly Thai; however, financial sources are vague. The borders are officially open from 09:00 to 5:00 p.m., and although visas are for all intents and purposes necessary to cross, there are means around this, as is real of many borders.
The initial Cambodia gambling dens opened in Phnom Penh in 1994, but were required to close in the late nineties, leaving only a single gambling den in the capital, the Naga Resort. The Naga, an anchored barge gambling hall, contains 150 one armed bandits and 60 table games. The Naga casino never closes with 42 tables of mini-punto banco, 4 tables of blackjack, 10 of roulette, two of Caribbean Stud Poker, and one each of Pai-Gow and Tai-Sai.
The 1st gambling hall in Poipet, the Holiday Palace, opened in 1999 and the Golden Crown quickly opened. There are one hundred and fifty slot machines and five tables at the Golden Crown and one hundred and four one armed bandits and 68 gaming tables at the Holiday Palace. The newest Holiday Palace Casino and Resort features three hundred slots and seventy tables and the Princess Hotel and Casino, also in Poipet, has 166 one armed bandits and ninety six table games, including eighty seven baccarat (the most beloved game), Fan Tan, and Pai Gow. Additionally, there is the Casino Tropicana, with one hundred and thirty five slot machine games and 66 of the normal tables, as well as one table of Casino Stud Poker. An additional of the 8 casinos in Poipet, again in a motel, is the Princess Casino with one hundred and sixty six slots and 97 casino games. The Star Vegas Casino is is located in a multinational resort and hotel compound that highlights a number of amenities on top of the casino, which houses ten thousand sq.ft. of 130 slot machine games and eighty eight table games.
